Distinguished Pistol - NRA Recruiter

Our Mission

01. Your safety is our No. 1 concern

All of our shooting activities meet the highest standards for safety and are designed around NRA standards.  We have been inspected and permitted by our county and we only use commercial grade ammunition (no reloads).  Our range is supervised and all movement is controlled by the range master.  We take your safety seriously.  You can inspect our certifications, permits and licenses in our office at anytime. Just ask, and we'll review them with you.  Our certified instructors ensure your safety, and our family at Distinguished Pistol will make you want to come back for a great shooting time, again and again.

02. We guarantee your membership with us will be a rewarding experience

When you come for a shooting session at Distinguished Pistol, you become part of our family.  We want you to be happy with every part of the experience, from when you sign up to when you shoot and return again.  It's our goal to make sure every moment at Bassi Ranch is enjoyable and exciting.

03. You'll test your limits

Shooting is an extremely precise and competitive sport, one that many people add to their "bucket lists."  When you shoot with us, we're helping you accomplish a goal -- whether it's overcoming a fear of recoil or mastering your shot-group.  We like tight shots around here!  We'll help coach you to achieve your goal, but we'll never pressure you to do something beyond your comfort zone.  It's safe to practice your shooting skills with us.  We'll keep you challenged.

Finally!  A Bullseye Pistol Range!

Clint Hilbert became a master-class shooter and distinguished pistol shot at a young age while serving in the military and went on to teach handgun safety and precision marksmanship for more than 30 years.  Clint had won two national pistol titles (the General Custer Trophy and the General Patton Trophy), and by the time he was 21 and served as an Instructor and Shooter on the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning.  He also earned the coveted President's Hundred tab and Gold Distinguished Pistol Shot Badge.

Ultimately, Clint designed and created the Distinguished Pistol handgun range in 2011 similar to the types of ranges used in competitive matches.  "Our range is a true north-facing outdoor range ... which is a big deal when you are shooting outside, because you want the sun behind you, not in your eyes, shining on your target, not silhouetting it," says Clint.  "All twelve lanes are covered and there are automatic edging targets at the 25-yard line and static targets at the 50-yard line.  We also have several lanes with retractable targets to the 50-foot line and an ADA lane with its own private parking space."
